Chrysotile in Serpentile ( also known as Swiss Opal) Pendant in wire wrapped Argentium Silver.
Approximately 1 1/2" long and 1 3/8" wide.
Argentium silver contains a greater amount of pure silver (935 which contains 93.5% pure silver with the remainder being made up of other alloys, such as a small amount of germanium). This makes it more tarnish resistant than Sterling (.925) Silver.
Swiss Opal is comprised of Serpentine and shiny white fibrous lines of Chrysotile. The Chrysotile is what gives this stone its reflective snake skin like appearance. Depending on the angle from which it is viewed these fibrous lines give off spectacular flashes of silvery white color. Swiss Opal is a powerful cleansing stone, detoxifying the body. It is said to help heal the broken hearted and allow one to move on to new relationships.
